November 15, 2021…Sheana Firth has been elected to the Board of Directors of Vero Communiqué, a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring fourth and fifth graders to become journalists.

Since its inception in 2018, with six students at one School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) elementary school (Glendale), the Young Journalist Program has grown to mentoring 183 students at SDIRC elementary schools, the Youth Guidance Mentoring Academy and The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation. 

In 2010, the Program was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the oldest organization representing journalists in the United States, established on April 17, 1909.

Ms. Firth is the marketing director of Islamorada Beverages, based in Islamorada, Florida.

Prior to joining Islamorada Beverages, she was, for over two years, the Chief Brand Officer and Vice President of Marketing for the Mental Health Association of Indian River County, FL. 

In June 2021, Ms. Firth took center stage at the Mental Health America’s Annual Conference focused on the topic “From Resiliency to Recovery” which of course, meant a heavy concentration on the pandemic and its long-reaching effects. 

Her breakout presentation was entitled “Redefining & Reframing: Using Human Centric Design to Inform Culture and Community,” focused on teaching attendees to utilize the non-linear process of ‘Design Thinking’ to inform development and promotion of services, innovate marketing initiatives to increase community awareness, and further define a company’s value proposition.

Sheana Firth has had the opportunity to experiment, develop and bring top-notch, forward-thinking, creative solutions to life throughout her career and drive business growth and customer acquisition. She founded several companies in various marketplaces and helped accelerate numerous more from start-ups to scaled growth stages.
